A big devotee of Sathya sai Baba, Late Sri D K Audikesavulu Naidu, was an industrialist, politician and philanthropist at par excellence. He passed away on April 24th 2013 and is survived by his wife DA Sathyaprabha, daughters Tejashwari and Kalpaja and son Srinivas

Smt D. A. Sathyaprabha, the better half of late D K Audikesavulu Naidu, is popularly known as AMMA in Chittoor where the Srinivasa Trust provides drinking water to more than 1500 villages. Distributing scholarships to the needy and maintaining engineering and other educational institutions in Chittoor, the Srinivasa Trust is a household name. She is presently contesting elections as a Telegu Desam Party member.

D K Audikesavulu Naidu, 72, was a businessman and pilitician who had built a massive industrial empire spanning hospitals, educational institutions and liquor. D K Audikesavulu Naidu, had a great political clout in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. He started his career as an employee in a distillary in Chittoorand went on to build a sizeable liquor business. He was passionate about what he did, was agreat leader and a thorough industrialist. His business includes Vydehi institute of medical Sciences and Research Centre, Mallaya Hospital, Karnataka Breweries and Distillaries, he had an interest in Steel and had a large land bank. He is the founder chairman of SITAMS, an engineering college in Chittoor as well as VIMS.
